Hello Friends! I Marie Kondo-d my old blog page and started fresh. Welcome to Musings! For my first post, I wanted to share about the road ahead - what to expect from me and my business and get candid about where I’m at now.

2019 will less about “grind”, and more about relationships. It will be more about expression and less about trying to fit in with everyone else. They say alot can change in a year, that was definitely the case for me in 2018! It was a deep seeded awakening that has lent to a much needed overhaul of the soul. I’m definitely not the same person anymore! I’m becoming more comfortable with myself, where I’m at, what I want to create and how I want to spend my time (and with whom.) Speaking of time….

Although I will still be open for business, I will be scaling back to part-time again for the time being as I am having to help a family member recover from a serious illness. I’m not at liberty to discuss it but any good thoughts/vibes and prayers would be appreciated! I’ll also be carving out time for travel and long overdue home projects that have sat on the back burner for a while. I’m purposely making time to stop and smell the roses.

If 2018 + the past 6 weeks of this year have taught me anything at all it’s that being present isn’t just a nice anectdote, it’s a way of life. While this post is talking about the year ahead, going forward I want to be a person who is present, accepting whatever may come her way with grace, not judging anyone or where they may be at. I just can’t be a part of the rat race anymore. I just want to embrace life, create art and stay in my own lane. Making time for the things that truly matter. Being around people who share the same zest for life that I do. If you jive with any of what I just said, I’d love to work with you sometime ;)

Aside from that, I have made some other changes, including adding new packages to my portrait & real estate sessions; a new scheduling system to help clients book more easily; upgrades to my client portals; updated contracts and agreements; and new policies for my online galleries. I’m very excited!

I’m going to wrap up this ramble, but not before I say thank you for taking the time to read it and being an awesome human!
